questions for thought & discussion

  1. Scripture states that the life is in the blood. How does this section relate to that statement?
  2. We hear the monthly period often referred to as the curse. Could there be any correlation to this section of Scripture?
  3. .How does antinomianism encourage rampant pollution of the land?
  4. Rush started this section by referring to “an unholy prudery.” What does he mean by this?
  5. At what age should a girl be taught about “her springs”? How about boys?.Can you see any correlation between this section and the issue of head coverings for women?
  6. Based on this section, can a man ever righteously demand “total submission” from his wife?
  7. As contrasted with the animals, a human female is not fertile when she has her issue. Is there any significance to this?
  8. Isn’t it interesting that there is much preparation during pregnancy to lead up to a healthy delivery but little to no mention is made of the requirements afterwards. Is there a Scripture passage which would seem to permit discontinuation of this practice?

application

One of the surest ways to identify whether you understand a subject is to write a point of view paper (sometimes referred to as a position paper).  This exercise helps to unearth areas of confusion, uncertainty, and/or disagreement, many times revealing that a number of unanswered questions remain. Once completed, you may submit your paper for comments.

After formulating your position(s) on the subjects covered in each lesson, a good next step is to engage in conversation (with your spouse, children, parents, friends, or co-workers) to better hone your skill in communicating the concepts you have learned and are assimilating into your own thinking.  Do not be concerned about “messing up” or doing it the “wrong way” as you will do plenty of both!  As with anything worth doing, practice will refine this skill, which is vital in order to fulfill the Great Commission.  If you find you need some one-on-one interaction, you may submit a question or request an appointment.
